Thoughts

This morning on the train I found myself, during my two hour ride, thinking the following…..

  • I am getting too old to be taking a two hour train ride to work…
  • How many people are they really trying to fit on to this train car…
  • I really want my daughter to get into the private school in my neighborhood.. How the hell am I going to afford to pay for my daughter to go to the private school in my neighborhood…
  • Did this mad man really just kill 58 people and injure over 500…
  • How many times will people pray while at the same time supporting being able to go to the supermarket and buy assault rifles…
  • What the hell with Puerto Rico…  The people down there are going through hell and this president is throwing rolls of paper towels through the air like they are basketballs…
  • I am proud of my self for not drinking coffee for three days… this is the beginning of a new Healthy Lifestyle for me…
  • Is today the day I pick up my daughter from Volleyball or is that Friday…
  • Why the hell did I not buy my ticket for Paris already…
  • Why the hell did I let them convince me to come back to work….
  • I need another 20,000 dollars and then I can become a Day Trader…
  • I want to buy an apartment for my daughter so that she will always have a place to call her own…
  • If my daughter goes to a public school instead of a private school, I can use that money to buy her an apartment…
  • Damn this train ride is taking forever…
  • I really want a cup of coffee, but I will be strong..
  • Should I get a tutor for my daughter.. the guy on the phone told me it would cost me 2000 dollars for so many hours of one on one tutoring….
  • I really thought I was going to be able to take this time off to write…
  • How are my stocks doing…
  • I wish they were doing better, then I would stop working…
  • I have to send that submission into that magazine..
  • Great… a poem of mine is getting published next month..
  • Wow I miss my dad and his dry-ass jokes…
  • I had a dream about plants and babies… a death is coming in the family… this is a Jamaican thing… dreams about plants and babies and death…
  • I wonder how many people are too many people for a NYC train car…
  • That guy’s coffee smells amazing…
  • I had a dream about my father last night and it was horrific all over again…
  • All those poor people who didn’t know at first if their family and friends were dead or alive… they saw the news like the rest of us and maybe for a moment forgot their son or daughter, husband or wife, mother or father, lover or friend were in Vegas for the concert… Until it hit them… Fuck… They are in Vegas for a concert……
  • I have to stop watching the news.. it is just too damn much…
  • I need to stop by my friend’s school and make sure she is okay… something tells me she needs support… Damn, these days we all need support I guess…
  • I miss my family in Trinidad…
  • I wish my daughter could know all her family the way I knew mine when I was a kid… but these are different times and now we are all scattered throughout the world…
  • I need to take my daughter to Florida to see mom and the rest of my family..
  • I need to take my daughter to Trinidad and Jamaica so she can meet the rest of my family…
  • I am going to see Antelope Canyon in Navajo Country with my best friend I think…  Or maybe the Northern Lights instead…
  • I WILL NOT DRINK COFFEE…
  • I have to meet with four principals in two days… Agghhhhhh…
  • I wonder how all these stories on the news is impacting my daughter…
  • I need to go back to school and get my Doctorate…
  • I am well versed in Child Psychology and I think i know how all these news stories are impacting my daughter…. shit…
  • This train is packed…
  • The people who survived the shooting will never be the same again… death makes sure you are never the same again…
  • I am grateful I have a job..
  • Wow I wish I was rich…
  • I need to put how much aside for my daughter’s tuition…
  • I saw a man with a kitchen knife in his belly once… I remember seeing his feet soaked in blood… I can never get rid of that memory… the people will never be able to let go of their memories of that shooting…
  • I don’t want my daughter taking the train…
  • I need a cup of coffee…
